From our early days as hunters-gatherers to our great civilizations with their castles and siege weapons, humanity has always been creating and improving upon their tools, equipment, and weapons. With a blacksmith shop, all manner of equipment will be available for you to forge, from hearty breastplates to swords so sharp the air itself might bleed. It's time to build yourself a blacksmith and forge some amazing equipment for your commanders! Send them into battle with glorious weapons and armour!

Commanders in Rise of Kingdoms can finally use equipment to enhance their combat skills! Only the mightiest commanders will be worthy of mighty weapons and armour! Governors can get equipment through Side Quests, the Shadow Legion Invasion, the Osiris League, and other events. Receiving equipment for the first time, governors will unlock the equipment system. At the same time, a new building, the blacksmith, will be added to the building options in your city. The blacksmith can be used to forge equipment, dismantle the equipment, and produce/upgrade materials used to forge equipment. Go to the blacksmith and build a set of equipment for your favourite commander!

Materials can be used to forge equipment.

Production

In-game blacksmith materials production

In-game Material Production menu

  1. The blacksmith can produce 10 materials used to forge equipment every 3 hours
  2. Governors can queue up any 5 materials to be produced. The blacksmith shop will produce them in the order set
  3. After the material is produced, it must be claimed manually
  4. Produced materials can be viewed from the Equipment page in the Items menu

Combining Materials

  1. Materials needed to forge equipment have 5 levels in total: normal, advanced, elite, epic and legendary
  2. Four identical material (same type, same quality) can be combined to make a higher-quality material. For example, 4 normal feathers can be combined to create an advanced feather.
  3. The top material quality is legendary. The higher the material quality, the better items it can be used to forge.

Making Blueprints

  1. 30 blueprint fragments can be combined to make one complete equipment blueprint
  2. Complete blueprints can be found in the Item menu's "Equipment" page
  3. Only complete blueprints can be used to forge equipment
  4. Each equipment blueprint corresponds with a specific piece of equipment it can be used to forge

  1. The opposite of combining, you can dismantle 1 equipment material to get 4 materials of lower quality
  2. Dismantling costs gold
  3. Normal quality material cannot be dismantled
  4. Dismantled materials will always produce the same type of material but of lower quality

Forge

All pieces of equipment have a chance to produce special talent effect equipment. If equipped by a commander with the corresponding red talent specialization, the equipment's attributes will be increased by 30%.
